Best Young Researcher Award
The Prof. O.V. Jooma Award for the Best Young Researcher will be bestowed at the 39th Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons Annual Conference 2026. The award recognizes excellence in academic neurosurgery among early-career trainees. This merit-based national award will be determined through a structured evaluation of the applicant's curriculum vitae, with emphasis on the quality, quantity and impact of research output, authorship contribution and academic engagement.

Statement (max 300 words) on academic achievements and eligibility
Eligibility Filter: Published papers in national/international journals. Publications from non-indexed papers will be given half marks. Maximum 5 publications from non-indexed journals will be scored.
Each publication is assigned a base score based on its type:

This is an open score model where applicants are evaluated based on the cumulative points achieved across all three components. There is no fixed maximum score limit. The applicant with the highest total score will be awarded the Prof. O.V. Jooma Award for Best Young Researcher. All supporting documents must be verifiable and authentic.
