The 39th PSN Annual Conference 2026 promises to be a landmark event, bringing together neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, trainees, researchers, and industry leaders from across Pakistan. Designed as a hybrid conference, the meeting will offer both in-person and virtual participation, ensuring wider accessibility and engagement for delegates regardless of geographical location.
As a CPSP-accredited scientific event, the conference will provide valuable opportunities for continued professional development while fostering academic excellence and collaboration. The scientific program has been carefully curated to address contemporary advances, emerging technologies, and evolving challenges in neurosurgery.
The conference will feature plenary lectures delivered by distinguished national and international experts, alongside parallel scientific sessions covering diverse subspecialties of neurosurgery. These sessions will provide an ideal platform for the presentation and discussion of innovative research, clinical experiences, and cutting-edge surgical techniques.
A major highlight of the conference is its strong emphasis on academic competition and recognition. Delegates will compete for several prestigious awards, including the Best Oral Presentation Award, Best Poster Presentation Award, Best Rapid Abstract Presentation Award, and Best Operative Video Award. In addition, PSN Resident Quiz Competition will bring together neurosurgical trainees from across the country in a spirited test of knowledge and clinical acumen.
This year, PSN is proud to introduce two distinguished awards recognizing excellence in research. The Prof. O. V. Jooma Award for the Best Young Researcher will celebrate emerging talent and encourage innovation among early-career neurosurgeons. The Prof. Bashir Ahmad Award for the Best Paper of 2025–2026 will honour outstanding scientific contribution and publication in the field of neurosurgery.
Another exciting addition is the NeuroTech Pavilion, where leading universities of science and technology will showcase pioneering developments in artificial intelligence, robotics, biomedical engineering, neuroimaging, and digital health solutions. This unique platform aims to strengthen collaboration between clinicians, researchers, engineers, and innovators, shaping the future of neuroscience and neurosurgical care.
Reflecting PSN's commitment to inclusivity and equitable professional growth, the conference will also feature the PSN Equity Scholarship program, enabling trainees from Tier 2 or Tier 3 training center in underprivileged areas of Pakistan to participate and benefit from this premier academic event.
Together, these initiatives, coupled with the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Neurosurgery at PINS-LGH, will make 39th PSN conference 2026 far more than a scientific meeting—it is a celebration of heritage, innovation, excellence, education, and collaboration.
